The Mitchells: October 2010

I am truly sorry that it has been a whopping 5 weeks since I've updated Maezy's blog. I returned to work on 9/27, and my life has been a blur ever since!

So, just a few updates...Maezy obviously started daycare on Monday, September 27. It was a hard, emotional day for the Mitchell family. Frank went with me to drop her off that morning, and...he'll kill me for saying this...we were both in tears in Miss Debbie's driveway. We visited her during lunch that day, and she seemed perfectly fine (of course). She absolutely LOVES daycare. Every morning when I drop her off, and every afternoon when I pick her up, she is in Miss Debbie's arms and smiling at her non-stop. Miss Debbie is absolutely amazing. We are so, so, so blessed to have her as our sitter. I couldn't ask for someone to take better care of my baby. And, the other kids adore Maezy as well. She has several other little 'mommies' over there! They shhhhhh her, and kiss her, and rock her, and hold her. It's wonderful. Miss Debbie is also a photographer in her 'spare' time. Check out the pics she's taken of Maezy. I ordered some prints from her (very reasonable), and they are amazing!

Frank and I had to take away Maezy's binky. She grew so attached to it, that she demanded that she have it all night, and when it would fall out, she would wake up. So, mommy and daddy weren't getting any sleep. We took it away on October 3, and she immediately found her thumb! She LOVES her thumb, as you will see in several pics! Maezy rolled over for the first time on Tuesday, October 5, and hasn't stopped since! She had her first battle with sickness...a sinus infection, and an eye infection. When we took her to the doctor on the 20th, she weighed in at 13 pounds, 11 ounces, which means she's almost doubled her birth weight. She goes in for her 4 month check-up on November 4. We will let everyone know how much she's grown.
