Maezy went to her very first slumber party on Saturday. Once a year, Debbie will host a slumber party for all of the daycare kids (and the parents). Last time she did it, Maezy was too young to stay the night. She was SO, SO, SO excited to go this year. After what happened in Connecticut on Friday :(, I was a little hesitant to let her go, but she asked about it the entire week, so we decided it was okay. It was a pajama slumber party, so I took her to Target on Saturday morning, and let her pick out a new pair of PJs. Yep, these were her decision! After church, we headed to Debbie's, with her Dora suitcase in tow. We were the first ones there, and once a few of her other friends showed up, she started jumping up and down and screaming 'it's my friends, it's my friends'. From what she told us the next day, it was a full night! The night began with a pizza party for dinner. Debbie then took all of the kiddos to Build-A-Bear and bought them each an animal, as well as a pair of pajamas for their new pets (so sweet). The night also included a dip in Debbie's hottub (which was adorned with Christmas lights), roasting marshmallows, watching movies...who knows what time they finally crashed! And, as an added bonus, she made them waffles in the morning! What a great first slumber party, yes!?

DECEMBER 9, 2012
Thursday will mark the two-year anniversary of Granny Eve's passing. My sweet, sweet nephew came up with the idea to take 'Evie' some Christmas flowers. So, on Sunday morning, we took the kiddos to Granny's memorial, and left her some poinsettias.

After I finished consoling Maezy in the morning, since she was obviously traumatized over being away from me, we had another full day of fun! We got to spend time with Uncle Spud & Aunt Tina, GG, Aunt Tammy, Aunt Melanie, and John & Audrey!! Thank y'all for giving up your Saturday to spend time with us! We love you all so very much!
Around lunch time, we went to BB's warehouse for a special Christmas treat! We ordered out for pizza, and got to watch Frosty the Snowman and Dora on BB's big projector screen!

Thanks to Mom and Dad (a.k.a Mammy & BB), Maezy and I were able to make a last-minute trip down to Texas to see the family before the holidays!!! It was our shortest trip yet (flew out late Thursday night and came back on Sunday), but every second was truly amazing! Thank y'all SOOOO much for everything!
Friday evening/night was my first time away from Maezy overnight EVER. I was able to spend this time with Coco, and am so grateful! I worried about Maezy asking for me, or whining/crying because she missed me, but...she never asked about me once. Mammy, BB, Lola, Uncle Ro, and Elliott took her to North Pole Village, and she had a blast!!

DECEMBER 3, 2012
Debbie took the kids to meet Santa today. Here's Maezy showing him her fingernail polish.
All that she's been telling me that she wants are red presents. I finally got her to be a little more specific...she's now telling Buddy The Elf that she wants princess dresses and a horsey (she was playing with one of those old school brooms with the horse head on it, and fell in love).

NOVEMBER 30, 2012
This was the first time that we painted Maezy's fingernails! One of her little friends at daycare had hers painted on Friday, and she told me that she wanted hers painted too...she was so excited!
We also baked cookies together for the first time!
