FEBRUARY 14, 2013

Maezy had her third gymnastics class on Valentine's Day.  She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it!!  She asks me every single day if it's her turn to go to 'nastics', and when Thursdays roll around, she is beyond excited!!  Yesterday, she got to ring the cow bell for the first time (signifying that she was able to perform something that she was taught)!  Maezy learned how to do a 'Free Roll' two different ways...one with her hands behind her back, and the other with her arms outstretched like an airplane!  Frank and I are convinced that she can do anything...as long as it's close to the ground :).

She also went in for a well-baby checkup yesterday, and was an absolute angel.  She is 30 pounds (69th percentile for weight), and a whopping 34 inches, which puts her in the 11th percentile for height.  Just a few more inches, and she'll have doubled in length since she was born.

I think this weekend, we're going to transition her crib into a big girl bed.  Will update everyone next week!

GYMNASTICS

Yes, it's true...Maezy has started gymnastics.  A few weeks ago, when I went to pick her up from Debbie's, MaryAnna was dressed up in her gymnastics gear because she had class that evening.  While walking us out, MaryAnna proceeded to do cartwheels, roundoffs, etc in the front yard, and Maezy literally cried big crocodile tears because she wanted to go to 'nastics' too.  I didn't hear the end of it until a week later, when Frank and I went and signed her up.  Her first class was last Thursday, 1/31/13.  We started the session a few weeks in, so she has a little catching up to do, but she LOVES it!

She's actually super good at the rings!

And, sliding of course!

Stretching! Lol!

Apple Turnover!

Bear crawling on the parallel bars!

And, just having a blast!

Here are a few videos as well.

INTRODUCING...PRINCESS MAEZY

Over the course of the last week and a half, EVERY TIME that I go pick up Maezy from Debbie's, she is sporting a princess dress.  Since her favorite movie/princess is Cinderella, her daddy surprised her with her own princess dress last night (he did this on his own...so sweet).  Here are some pics and video from last night.

CHRISTMAS 2012

Sorry it's been a while since the last post!  Been trying to get back into the swing of things after the busy holiday season!

Christmas 2012 was absolutely AMAZING!  Maezy was spoiled waaaaayyyy more than she should have been!  Our friends/families are the most thoughtful, kind, gracious group of people, and we are so blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives!  We went to visit all of the Mitchells in Georgia for Christmas this year, and we all had so much fun!  It was awesome to get to see everyone, and so special to watch Maezy interact/fall in love with all of them!  Here are some pics from the extended Christmas this little stinker had!  I apologize in advance...I was a slacker when it came to taking pictures, so I don't have pics of the abundance of gifts that she received.  But, I guarantee that you'll be seeing them in future posts!

Randi & Cash sent her an adorable apron/chef hat set, and a Dora cash register.  As you've seen in prior posts, Maezy loves to cook her daddy's steaks with me!  She gets so excited!

Aunt Kay and Uncle Leeon sent her this Curious George hat, and her new favorite crayons (among MANY other awesome things)!

Miss Kenzi, Mr. Lyndell, and Baby Finn gave her these pajamas:

Cori got her this adorable cardigan, and Uncle Marty, Aunt Bethie, Mattie, Mia, & Moses got her these diva jeans (not the most flattering pic)!

Grammy and BB got her some bling!

Aunt Tammy and Uncle Bob got her a radio!

GG got her these really cute pajamas AND 'Cinderella', the movie!  The first time she watched Cinderella (yes, we've seen it several times since), she was VERY emotional!  She cried when the step-sisters tore Cinderella's dress.  First movie she's watched the whole way through!

And, we can't forget about what Santa brought her...her horsey!

DECEMBER 15, 2012

Maezy went to her very first slumber party on Saturday.  Once a year, Debbie will host a slumber party for all of the daycare kids (and the parents).  Last time she did it, Maezy was too young to stay the night.  She was SO, SO, SO excited to go this year.  After what happened in Connecticut on Friday :(, I was a little hesitant to let her go, but she asked about it the entire week, so we decided it was okay.  It was a pajama slumber party, so I took her to Target on Saturday morning, and let her pick out a new pair of PJs.  Yep, these were her decision!  After church, we headed to Debbie's, with her Dora suitcase in tow.  We were the first ones there, and once a few of her other friends showed up, she started jumping up and down and screaming 'it's my friends, it's my friends'.  From what she told us the next day, it was a full night!  The night began with a pizza party for dinner.  Debbie then took all of the kiddos to Build-A-Bear and bought them each an animal, as well as a pair of pajamas for their new pets (so sweet).  The night also included a dip in Debbie's hottub (which was adorned with Christmas lights), roasting marshmallows, watching movies...who knows what time they finally crashed!  And, as an added bonus, she made them waffles in the morning!  What a great first slumber party, yes!?
